Puerto Rico Explosion Update: Earlier reports claim that the Puerto Rico Explosion is related to the missing Spirit Airlines Flight 837 but unfortunately it is not. The explosion was from Gulf gasoline facility. No one died in the explosion but it caused some minor injuries.
To prevent additional blasts, the firefighters rushed to the place. From the Caribbean Petroleum Corp., flames and black clouds of smoke were rising. On San Juan’s bay, Caribbean Petroleum Corporation is a gasoline warehouse and distribution center. According to the authorities, it is hard to tell that what was the cause of the explosion. Authorities said that the scale of the damage is also not known yet.
According to police chief Jose Figueroa Sancha, the blast incident had taken place around 12:30 a.m. (0430 GMT) and during the investigations of the blast, FBI agents were also present on the scene. Figueroa Sancha said that it has been confirmed by the police helicopter that flew over that out of 30 tanks, a minimum of 11 tanks were exploded. To prevent the remaining tanks from exploding, the firefighters were planning to chill them.
