One person was reported killed while another was seriously injured when Miley Cyrus tour bus overturned on Interstate 85 in rural Dinwiddie County, Virginia overnight. Luckily, Miley Cyrus was not on-board when the accident happened.
The Miley Cyrus Bus crashed on I-85 south near mile marker 56 in Dinwiddie County, about 45-minutes south of Richmond, Virginia. There were 15 passengers on the Cyrus bus when it careened out of control and flipped on its side Thursday night, according to Virginia State Police officials. Miley Cyrus was reportedly on a bus that was part of a 4-vehicle caravan, which included the bus that overturned. The driver of the bus was killed on impact, but authorities are withholding that person’s name pending notification of their next of kin.
Police investigators say the roads were slick from heavy rainfall Thursday evening, but they’ve not yet determined the cause of the accident.
According Miley’s website, the singer/actress is scheduled to perform in Greensboro, N.C. on Sunday.
