Goodbye Jon and Kate Plus 8, Hello Kate Plus 8. That’s right guys, Jon Gosselin was fired and will no longer be part of the TLC reality show. TLC’s “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ will become “Kate Plus 8″ as of Nov. 2.
“Given the recent changes in the family dynamics, it only makes sense for us to refresh and recalibrate the program to keep pace with the family,” Eileen O’Neill, president of TLC said in a statement. “The family has evolved and we are attempting to evolve with it; we feel that Kate’s journey really resonates with our viewers.”
O’Neill also added that the network has another Kate Gosselin project in the works for 2010. I assume that various cable channels are pursuing Jon Gosselin for the envitable “Jon Without Kate Plus Dates” show.
The series will continue to chronicle the Gosselin family as they go on outings and tackle daily challenges and adventures. It will also document Kate’s journey as a newly single mother raising 5 year-old sextuplets and 8 year-old twins.
Well, lets all hope that the new reality show, without Jon Gosselin will be a success.
