A new report by scientists at the Tel Aviv-based company Nucleix concluded it can be done.
Dr. Dan Frumkin told the New York Times last summer: “You can just engineer a crime scene. Any undergraduate biology student could perform this.” Tania Simoncelli, science adviser to the American Civil Liberties Union, also told the Times: “DNA is a lot easier to plant at a crime scene than fingerprints.”
