Casino denies man jackpot! Seminole Hard Rock Casino denies Bill Seebeck jackpot amounting to $166,666,666.65. Bill Seebeck thought it was the luckiest day of his life. Seebeck was playing a slot machine at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa when the machine indicated that he had won a staggering $166,666,666.65. But the joy didn’t last long, however, as the casino denies the man’s jackpot because it was caused by a machine malfunction.
According to officials at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino, the maximum possible jackpot possible on the machine Bill Seebeck played was $90,000, well short of the $166 million jackpot.
This isn’t the first time this has happened. A patron at a Seminole Casino in California thought he had a $259,000 denied after officials stated it was caused by a computer error. In that case, the casino decided to pay the full amount.
As for Bill Seebeck, he was considering legal action, but it appears he has now agreed to an undisclosed “good faith” settlement from the Seminole Hard Rock Casino.

This happens too much. Happened a couple of years ago at a Phoenix Arizona casino. The casinos do nothing for the poor schmutz who pours all his money into a machine because compulsion takes over and he didn’t mean to do it. Should be a law that says whatever shows on the machine…that’s the pay out. Their machine maintenance is fine when it comes to rigging machines to not pay out but when the mistake is in favor of the gambler….too bad!

If the max payout is a 5 digit #, why have 9 spaces functioning at all. Realizing that the machines are mass produced and some have a 9 digit payout, seems it would be simple to disable the first four LED places so they don’t light at all. If the casino fails to take this precaution then PAY THE MAN$$$$

The real, true, deal, on the slots today, in almost all casinos, goes like this: The game machine manufactures, ever hear the name Ballys, before? Believe it or not, but, Ballys has to pay the casinos, to put their machines in each casino. The crooks in Reno, Las Vegas and every where else is the reason that i do not go to the casinos, Not even for recreation. To many rules in their favor and none in yours.They are geard for you to leave all of your money there and take none with you.

i worked for a casino for 7 years. We had a machine malfunction but after about the 10th jackpot in a row and a payout of almost $100,000 the casino turned off the machine, pulled the chip and sent it out to be analyzed. I think if there is really a malfunction, they pull the chip and sent it out just like our casino did. Even tho ours probably was a malfunction, the casino let the lady keep the money. It was the right thing to do.
