Cash for Clunkers Eligible Vehicles | Cash for Clunkers Program 2009

Cash for Clunkers Eligible Vehicle list was issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (”NHTSA”) on July 24, 2009. The Cash for Clunkers Eligible Vehicle list is based on the requirements set forth in the Consumer Assistance to Recycle and Save Act of 2009 (commonly known as the “Cash for Clunkers Act”) that was enacted on June 24, 2009.

You can also check the CARS Vehicle Eligibility Guide to determine whether your vehicle meets the eligibility requirements if you have a 1984-89 model year vehicle.

Note:

On July 24, the EPA issued revised new combined MPG numbers for an unknown number of vehicles. As a result, some vehicles that had previously qualified for the Cash for Clunkers program will no longer qualify. Because of this abrupt and unexpected change in EPA data we suggest you confirm your vehicle’s new combined MPG by visiting FuelEconomy.gov.
