The “Britney Spears dead” tweet that came from Spears’ twitter account was erased but it has been heavily retweeted, spreading wildly the fake news. This is similar to the fake reports of Jeff Goldblum and even Harrison Ford who were mysteriously killed by hoax news.
Britney’s staff has posted a message reassuring followers that the pop star is alive and well that confirms the counterfeit message was the work of an unidentified hacker.
