Black Friday Ads 2009. Some Black Friday ads come out weeks before thanks giving day which is a day before Black Friday. This allows people to plan ahead and make their shopping lists. By doing Black Friday research early, people can figure out which store offers them the most amount of deals.

What is Black Friday?

The day After Thanksgiving (Friday) is known as Black Friday. This also is unofficially or officially start of holiday shopping season.

Almost all stores comes out with DoorBuster Sales with early bird special to attract consumers to their stores. People stand in line hours before store is opened, to grab the bargain of the year.

Almost every store has something that interests every one. For example, Some stores had Office Chair for $12 and Some had DVD Player for $12. One day sale for this day at stores like Wal-Mart in Year 2003 was over $1.52 Billion.

For bargain hunters, if there is a biggest festival in a year, that would be, no doubt, the Black Friday. That being said, please note revenue wise this is NOT the best day. A couple of days before Christmas are the most prominent day from revenue perspective.

Why it is called Black Friday ?

Closest reason as to why it is know as Black Friday is given in Wikipedia - “Many retailers report some of their highest profits on Black Friday. The black portion of the name, “Black Friday” relates to businesses recording their losses in red ink and gains in black. This tradition lives on in modern accounting software, hence the name.”

So When is Black Friday ?

This year’s Black Friday is on November 27th 2009. Most ads are published in the newspaper on Thanksgiving Day. (The day before Black Friday).
