Company’s insiders say that the company will use the moment to unveil its much-talked about tablet.
The products that did most of the businesses included Macintosh laptops and desktops. Following the successful sale of Mac, Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster said: “The Mac is back!”
Another analyst Van Baker at Gartner said this was made possible “despite having to go up against the Windows 7 launch.” Last fall Microsoft, rival of Apple in the market, unrolled its most revolutionary system Windows 7 after its Vista let the company down. Many in the industry had thought that this would jeopardize chances of other system. But they were wrong after report was published saying that Apple’s Mac is still popular with the users.
Besides, the iPhone launched by Apple also brought in good revenue. Its sales increased by 100 per cent. “We expected more,” Baker said.
Company’s honcho said they were able to sell some 3.36 million Mac computers. This is 33 per cent up from the year before. Besides, iPhones also did good business. Nearly 8.7 million iPhones were sold. But the company is not satisfied with the sales of its iPods. It sales continue to decline
